Child Friendly Resource

With school closings and routines disrupted, some children may have questions about COVID-19.  Here is a child friendly Coronavirus Story that you can share with your child.

“Dear families and educator all over the world,
I have created this short book to support and reassure our children, under the age of 7, regarding the COVID-19. This book is an invitation for families to discuss the full range of emotions arising from the current situation. It is important to point out that this resource does not seek to be a source of scientific information, but rather a tool based on fantasy. My recommendation is to print this material so children can draw on it. Remember that emotions are processed through repetitive play and stories read multiple times. Share COVIBOOK and help ease kiddo’s anxiety all over the world.

With love,

Manuela Molina – the author”

School Closure Info

I hope everyone is safe and well.  Our building principal, or an administrator, will be in touch with you regarding guidance for any coursework that can be completed from home during this time.

In the meantime, please have the students practice reading and math.  They can choose to go on Splash Math and Raz-Kids.  They can also listen to stories on Storyline Online.  This is a popular rotation in the classroom.

Take care and be safe.  I am thinking of you.

UPDATE:

The district website has now made available School Closure Instructional Resources to use.  Please take a look.  More information will be forthcoming.

Thank you for your patience.
